Return and Damaged Goods

Customers are responsible to revise and and inspect their orders once they receive them. Customers have 48 hours from the date of receipt to report any damages.

Pre-orders are made to order and are non refundable. We do NOT offer exchanges, refunds or returns.

Custom orders are final sale. If you purchase something made-to-order, please be accurate with checking your measurements before ordering a garment. 

FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY REASONS, MASKS ORDERS ARE FINAL SALE AND CANNOT BE RETURNED OR EXCHANGED. 

Dye/Material Variation Disclaimer

Please note when it comes to hand dyed materials, color variation is normal part of the process. All pieces are dyed by hand, so no two are exactly alike. These type of dye variations in no way should be treated as defective, as their uniqueness only adds to their character.

The product details and product specifications (like weight, color, handwork details, size, etc.) quoted with the product displays are only approximate values, and there may be slight difference in the design and pattern as compared to the picture shown on the the website. 

While every endeavor has been made to accurately reproduce colors, there may be minor variations in color of the actual product because of the nature of fabric dyes, weather at the time of dying and differences in display output due to lighting and digital photography and color settings and capabilities of monitors. 

Some fabrics have a textured effect where the weaving & threads are visible in different directions which is an inherent characteristic or feature of that fabric and proof of its authenticity. These are not defects. This raw finish is part of the beauty of the fabrics.

Handcrafted, hand dyed, hand printed, hand painted, hand embroidered, handloom, hand weaved products will always have minor differences when we compare them as they are not made by machines. Each piece will be unique. I always try my best to make each piece better than the previous one, however the product will always have minor variation. The raw finish of the hand made piece cannot be compared with machine finished products as this raw finish is the beauty of the handicrafts items. 

Note: Masks are not CDC certified, not for PPE  or FDA approved and are NOT a substitute for N95 or surgical masks.

Shipping

All Domestic orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail. A tracking number will be emailed once the order is shipped. If you require more security/services, please contact me before purchasing for additional shipment options like signature or next day delivery.

Shipment processing time for in stock orders are processed within 7 business days. If I am experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery especially with the issues that the USPS is currently experiencing. 

Mater and moon is not responsible for unexpected shipping delays caused by circumstances such as severe weather, natural disasters, or other courier delays. I am also not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged in transit.

As the sole maker of apparel for Mater and Moon, I place value in the slow and intentional process that goes into making each piece, as well as strive to minimize waste and energy while doing so. I believe we need to create garments as needed, instead of creating surpluses of garments that may or may not be wanted, and thus, apparel from Mater and Moon will be made to order. Once an order is placed, the production process for the garment will begin. Please note that made to order items may take 6-8 weeks to produce and ship, but could ship much sooner. I appreciate your patience while I hand craft your special piece, and I hope you will enjoy the collective consciousness that we will share by doing so. Ultimately, I hope you will agree that it's worthwhile.
